About Us

The National Organization of Women - Anne Arundel County Chapter is dedicated to achieving full equality for women through education and litigation.

The NOW Foundation focuses on a broad range of women’s rights issues, including economic justice, pay equity, racial discrimination, women’s health and body image, women with disabilities, reproductive rights and justice, family law, marriage and family formation rights of same-sex couples, representation of women in the media, and global feminist issues.

Our Mission

The National Organization for Women Foundation works to enhance the status of women in the United States and around the world through advocacy, litigation reform, and education.

Our litigation efforts seek to protect reproductive health options, as well as focusing on other areas of concern to women, such as pregnancy discrimination, employment issues, discrimination against women in the military, sexual harassment and exploitation, lesbian and gay rights, civil rights, sex discrimination in insurance, and ending violence against women.

We also engage in voter empowerment programs designed to encourage women to register, vote, and stay politically active.

What Makes Us Unique

The Anne Arundel County Chapter of NOW holds a unique opportunity as we're reestablishing the chapter.

Our aim is to create and mold what we do in the community to promote women's rights, champion all reproductive rights, end sex discrimination/constitutional equality, voting diversity, and ending racism.

Please Remember:

There is a crisis today in the United States where women's health and social justice are being threatened. The Anne Arundel County Chapter of NOW will work to combat those issues to the best of our abilities through grassroots activism. We strive to make a difference in Anne Arundel County and beyond.
