Our Mission

The mission of the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the National Organization for Women is grounded in the pursuit of full equality for women through education, advocacy, and litigation. This mission is realized by focusing on six priority issues: reproductive rights, ending sex discrimination and promoting constitutional equality, diversity and ending racism, economic equity, stopping violence against women, and advancing lesbian rights including marriage equality. We are committed to addressing these concerns both locally and nationally, ensuring the voices of women in Anne Arundel County are heard and represented.

Grassroots advocacy is at the heart of the chapter's work, empowering members to take action on issues that directly impact their lives and communities. By organizing at the local level, our chapter provides opportunities for women to engage in meaningful activism. These efforts are designed to build momentum for policy change and social justice, amplifying the impact of individual actions.  We believe that real progress begins with community-driven initiatives that reflect the needs and aspirations of local women.

The Anne Arundel County Chapter is dedicated to transforming individual voices into one loud, collaborative call for equality and justice. Through inclusive meetings, collaborative campaigns, and unified advocacy efforts, members are encouraged to share their perspectives. As these voices come together, they form a chorus that cannot be ignored, demanding attention from both the public and policymakers.

We value their commitment to grassroots activism and community engagement, which align perfectly with our chapter's priorities. Their dedication to addressing local issues impacting women makes them ideal candidates for our endorsement. We at AACO NOW believe their focus on collaborative action will benefit NOW's leadership significantly.
